Since our inception
in 2004 we have increased our operations by three fold. We have not only
met but have exceeded our goals. Our aging population has been served
with a variety of essential compassionate services that they needed. We
have built ramps for seniors to provide safe access to their homes,
repaired hazardous areas in and around their homes, provided enormous
amounts of food to help with nutritional needs, and beautified their
environment as well as the community’s. We consistently adjust our
programs, operations and procedures to meet as many needs as possible.
Our operation improves the quality of life of many senior citizens and
eliminates other risks that could be devastating to their health and
well being. The food we provide sustains most, if not all, of their
nutritional needs. We continually adapt and adjust to the needs of our
seniors in order to keep them safe and healthy in their own homes. Our
staff, volunteers and Board Members actively seek funding for our
operations as well as provide their services to our organization. We
constantly increase our volunteer database to keep up with the
tremendous number of services requested by the senior citizens. Many
local organizations and businesses steadily provide support in the form
of donations and services. The growth in our senior population
throughout the Canyon Lake and Comal County area will only increase the
need for our services. Our programs have a reputation of being the best
and most compassionate in the area. Due to the growth in the area
Habitat for Safe Seniors must be prepared to meet the increased demand
in services for the elderly. Unlike other specialized organizations that
meet only a single need, Habitat for Safe Seniors is unique in that we
have combined a variety of services under one roof. |
